Wow! Jason Wu For Target

I would never thought of one day I can own a Jason Wu piece, and it's going to become real on Feb. 5.  I received my People Style Watch magazine today, and so happy to read about the news.  I can't wait to share this news on the blog.  In case u didn't have this magazine, I scanned the page for everyone to see.   This hot brand includes collections of dresses, skirts, bags, cardigans, and more at affordable price under $60.

Buy or no buy?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend  : )   Usually I tried to go shopping at Marshall once a week.  I liked to see what they'r having in the store, and hope to find some bargains. ( yeah!)  Sometimes I am very lucky and find lots of good deals, sometimes I am just not in good luck.  I enjoyed the moments of finding "treasures" at those discounted store, and also enjoy browsing, trying different clothes.

My finding this week:
Black Fur Collar Cardigan by Vince Camuto marked down $45 (Here) The faux fur is removable. I think the length of the cardigan and the sleeves is a little bit too short for me. But I do like the removable fur collar.

Verdict: didn't buy it.

Khaki Belted Poncho new item in the store $19.00.  Poncho is in this year, and this ponco is light weight, and is similar to a trench coat.  I liked the waist belt so it still give you shapes.

Verdict:  didn't buy it.  already had a trench coat, and a black wool poncho. 












I went home empty handed this week from Marshall, hopefully better luck next time. 

Faux Fur Vest

I was digging my closet and realize I had couple faux fur vests.  I almost bought another one the other day. : D    I worn the same vest two days in a role, one for work, and one for causal look.





This look is great for office work, out to dinner, or having coffee with friends.

Home Made Duvet Cover

Do you have some flat sheets that never get use?  What can you do with them?  How about turning the flat sheet into a duvet cover?!  Recently, I just made a duvet cover for a good friend's toddler.

The flat sheet size: 66" x 94".   She needs a duvet cover size: 36"x50".  I fold the flat sheet in half, and measure the length and width I needed and make marks.  ( remember to leave seam allowances)

Since the flat sheet is folded in half, one of the side didn't need to sewn together.

Duvet cover is done.

If you'r making an adult size duvet cover, take 2 flat sheets ( every sheet set will include one flat sheet, which means you will need 2 sheet sets.  The duvet cover will be reversible)

There are many options for the closure of the duvet cover, you can make botton holes, or sewn ribbons and tie them as closure, or hand sewn some snap buttons on.

Happy New Year !

The first day of the new year.............yeah!  I woke up really early today to wait in line with couple friends to get the"Lucky Bag" in a new opening Japanese Supermarket.  Oh boy, I thought I was really early this morning, but already people waiting in line.......................

What's the "Lucky Bag? "   it's a mystery bag that fill with lots of goodies, and u can't open it to see what's inside until u pay for it.  So, it's kind of fun, because u dont' know what u'r getting ^^~
